Jeffery Kerby has the fantastic ability of getting amazing wildlife photographs.

One of the best ways to get better is to follow those who already are! While it is important to learn all the technical aspects of photography, being inspired and going out and practicing is also super important.

Taking the time to follow and learn from the examples of others will really help you to step up your photography game and maybe try something you never have before.

1. Brandon Woelfel

Photograph of a young girl wearing glasses surrounded by lights.
Brandon Woelfel likes to play with light in his portraits.

Brandon has a really unique style. His photographs often incorporate lights and they generally utilize muted pinks, blues, and purples. His subject matter is pretty playful and youthful. His website is full of super interesting portraits that he has taken!

2. Jeffery T Kerby

Jeffery Kerby takes incredible wildlife photographs for National Geographic.

Jeff Kerby is a National Geographic photographer, and it is easy to see why! His wildlife and landscape photos are breathtaking! And his portfolio is filled with realistic and awe inspiring photos.

While it might be hard to imagine becoming a photographer for National Geographic, there is still a lot we can learn from Jeff. His editing is consistent and he keeps it looking natural and not too far off from the original. His work is amazing and definitely worth taking the time to look through!

3. Jessica Kobeissi

Photograph of a young girl laying on the ground with her arms across the top of her face.
Jessica Kobeissi is a more traditional photographer, but many of her photos have a vintage looking style.

Jessica is a portrait photographer who has a very different style than Brandon Woefel. Her work could be considered fashion photography with a more vintage vibe. The tones in her photos are more warm and she likes to play around with interesting angles.

Jessica has a YouTube channel where she does tutorials, challenges with other photographers, and walk-throughs of her shooting process. Jessica is a good photographer to follow if you are wanting to branch out a little in your own portraiture.

4. Robert Clark

Robert Clark used natural light to create more interesting scenery.

Robert does many kinds of photography, and one of those is landscapes. His landscape photos are beautiful and often bring a new perspective to a more traditional scene. His editing style is more high contrast and he is someone you should follow to gain new inspiration with your landscape photography.

There are so many photographers out there who were once where you are. Looking to them for guidance and inspiration will help you grow and improve much faster than if you just tried to figure it out all alone.
